Carmine Galati wins the 44th Masters Angling Tournament

The 44th International Masters Angling Tournament was completed March 30th in Los Suenos Costa Rica and Carmine Galati fishing in his second Masters staged a tremendous come from behind victory on the last day.  In a tournament that featured surprisingly slow fishing for Costa Rica, Carmine released 5 sailfish on the last day for 350 points, enough to vault him from 24th place to first with a 15 point lead over Chase Offield in second.

Congratulations to Carmine who takes home the “Old Man and the Sea” trophy designed by Ernest Hemingway and John Rybovich.
